Following on from last season, the trendy bucket bag returns for spring/summer ‘15, and this time with an injection of redesign via a creative collision of refreshed textures, materials, silhouettes and small details. The trend was witnessed with a holey pattern throughout at 3.1 Philip Lim; extraordinary colourful rubbers re-awakened the design at Kenzo; Victoria Beckham charmed with reptile accents on classic forms, whilst Marni and Moschino injected vibrant prints onto their buckets. Biba are on the case, whilst Zara are offering the bucket in alluring variations of fabrics, colours and textures.

Fringed Favourites

These fringed handbags are a match made in fashion heaven with the boho-chic trend, reflecting a tantalizing textured array of lavishly applied tassels and fringing. Designers from Emilio Pucci, Etro, Rebecca Minfoff and Salvatore Ferragamo showcased more than a fragment of frivolous fringe work in an army of sizes and colours that echoed an ethnic, hippie vibe. These bags were seen decorated in a ‘70s style scene, with motifs and studwork in an array of different silhouettes to opt for. Emulating the trend’s popularity, almost every high street chain has jumped on board this fringed trend frenzy, from Topshop and Mint Velvet, to Karen Millen and Phase Eight.

Geometric Box Designs

Seen more as an object of desire rather than a functional purpose to curry your whole world in, the geometric box bags are so chic and desirably demure that you won’t want to let them out of your stylish sights. Oozing with elegance and allure, they arrive in rectangular and square shapes, embezzled in embellishments and adorned in picturesque imagery. Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin, Victoria Beckham and Chanel all carried these in the chicest forms, while River Island have a fabulous collection to choose from.
