Cheese & Chilli Festivals – A Fun Family Event.  The 2016 Cheese and Chill Festival dates have been announced. For all you ‘chilli and cheese’ lovers out there, this is an experience not to be missed so get the date in your diary and prepare for a taste explosion!

This years festival will be touring around the South, coming to Basingstoke, Christchurch, Guildford & Winchester. The tasty festivals promise to be a fun-filled day out for the whole family bringing an amazing array of flavours, colours and experiences.

Artisan produceThe festival markets will provide an array of quality local and regional cheeses, chilli-based food and products from all over the world and a selection of high quality food stalls to taste and buy from.
Special guests such as Sean Wilson (Coronation Street) will be making an appearance to the Guildford event showing us his award winning Saddleworth Cheese as well as BBC Surrey broadcasting their live ‘Dig It’ programme from this event.
There will also be Craft Fairs and Shopping Villages showcasing a wide range of high quality and unusual locally produced crafts and gifts. For the CAMRA lovers there will be Real Ale Bars on site throughout the weekend from the local Downton Brewery and the real deal Cider bar supplied by Somerset’s Worley’s Cider. For music lovers,  a number of live acts will be performing at the shows including an amazing Samba band with a FREE Samba workshop and children’s procession.
Chilli And Cheese FestivalEach festival will have a full programme of entertainment, chilli eating competitions, falconry display, demonstrations and other fun events throughout the weekend. Plenty of fun is available for the children too with inflatables, pull-along rides, face painting, balloon modelling, circus skills, magic shows and Punch & Judy.

Simon Stewart, the festival organiser says “The Cheese & Chilli shows in 2015 were a real success. We’ve added additional features to make sure these events are even better than last year such as more music, more unusual products, a chilli sauce competition, children’s activities including a treasure hunt, music workshops and various other activities. Many of the activities are also FREE so even more reason to come along with the family for a great day out!”
