Locals and visitors alike are braving the cold weather to venture into Weymouth for some delicious Feasting! The amazing FEAST Weymouth menus on offer are drawing people into the town and the response so far has been overwhelmingly positive. The six week foodie festival is now in its second year and has been designed to encourage locals and visitors alike to explore and support local eateries now that the busy summer season has come to an end.
Paul Cocks owner of Café Oasis comments – “Feast has so far been a tremendous success. We have seen a real surge in bookings and a lot of new customers, at a time of year where evenings can be in decline. I’m really pleased and hope you will do it again next year”.
Local businesses are also getting involved with Feasting and supporting the restaurants, cafes and pubs in the town. Local support is key to the success of FEAST Weymouth, with local businesses using the event as a great staff evening or lunch out, participating eateries are seeing a real upturn in a traditionally quiet time of year. Support is phenomenal. Nikoletta Matloka of B+B Weymouth comments: “The B+B Weymouth Team had a night out on the 6th October and we went to the Dorset Burger Company to celebrate FEAST Weymouth. The food was brilliant and amazing service! Great value for money too”.
The FEAST Weymouth message is also being heard further afield with The Spice Ship in Preston. The pub is now in its second year of participation and is seeing more customers taking up their delicious menu.
Wendy Buckingham, The Spice Ship comments: “FEAST is going amazingly well again for The Spice Ship.
We have had lots of people saying our menu is extremely good value at only £15 for a delicious two course meal, thanks again for letting The Spice Ship be part of FEAST Weymouth”
Sophie Kermani, Director of In The Bag PR comments: “Anyone can get involved with FEAST Weymouth. If you are within the BID levy area, then you don’t have to pay anything for your venue to participate. But anyone outside of the levy area has to contribute a small fee. It is wonderful to be involved with an event that brings people into the town through a traditionally quiet period. The support from everyone involved has been incredible. FEAST Weymouth is a great event for our town and we look forward to many more venues taking
part next year!”
